Here's a photo that I took for digital-photography-school for their photography assignment.  digital-photography-school has a lot of great information on photography and seems to have a very large and talented audience.  I really like the thought of participating in their photography assignments in order to give me experience photographing different subjects and to learn from everyone else that participates.
